September 27, 1966 – August 27, 2021
Lori Sue (Sipe) Marciniak, 54, of Sewaren, passed away at Overlook Hospital, on Friday, August 27, 2021.
She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on September 27, 1966 to Beverly (Emrich) and Verl Sipe. Lori married the love of her life, Bill, on May 28, 1988 in Fort Wayne. They moved to New Jersey where they made a life with their three children.
Lori worked at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy for almost 30 years, starting her career as a clerk in the cardiac unit and rising to be one of the premiere nurses in the Special Care Unit. She was a proud graduate of the last graduating class of the Charles E. Gregory School of Nursing. Lori was an amazing, caring nurse who touched every patient and their family with her compassion and skill. Alongside her colleagues, she helped those in need during the COVID 19 pandemic, working long hours and risking her own health for her patients. Lori was a cheerleading coach at St. James Elementary School and left an indelible mark of confidence and team spirit in all the young women she coached over the years. Lori loved watching birds and all the other creatures of her garden; she was passionate about gardening, nature and education. There are many lovely gardens thanks to Lori's guidance. She has created everlasting memories with her loved ones in her garden. Lori loved to travel with Bill, fish on her boat "Hoosier Mama" and listen to country music, Prince and Rammstein.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, Marion and Helen Sipe and William and Helen Emrich; her step-father, Tom Landis; her father-in-law, Robert E. Marciniak, Sr.; her brother-in-law, Robert E. Marciniak, Jr. and her nephew, Nicolas Robert Betancourt.
Lori leaves behind her beloved husband of 33 years, William "Bill" Marciniak, her beloved children, Danielle and Damien Marciniak-Zuccarelli, Andrea, and William; her mother, Beverly (Larry) Ball; her father, Verl Sipe; her brothers, Kenneth (Jill) Sipe, Zac Sipe, Tim Landis; her sister, Angie Goeglin; her mother-in-law, Patricia Marciniak; her sisters-in-law, Joan (David) Betancourt and Karen (Paul) Tatarka; her nieces and nephews, Patrick and Emily Tatarka, Jackson Sipe, Wyatt Robinson and Harleigh Goeglin, her lifelong friend, Dawn Gonyer; and her cheer, rifle and nursing families.
