Lola A. Oakman Trent, 85, of Monroe entered into eternal rest January 15, 2011, at her home.
She was born in Washington, PA and lived in Edison for 45 years before moving to Monroe 6 years ago. Lola was committed to her family, and a mother to all. She will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband Edwin in 1965, sisters: Esther Freeman, Edna Sherry, Georgie Ray, and Elizabeth Oakman; brothers Richard, Jack and Robert Oakman, and Larry Brady. Lola is survived by 3 daughters: Judy Sweeney and Janice White of Monroe, Goldie Campbell of Old Wick; her son Edwin of Saulte St. Marie; 7 grandchildren; 7 great- grandchildren; her sister, Mabel Fasoli, of Elmora, PA; and her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Kenneth and Jewell Trent of Van Buren, Ark.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Cremation will follow at Rosehill Crematory. Visitation is Tuesday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
