Obituary

Lois M. Ludwigsen, 76, passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital on Monday, October 8, 2018 after a brief illness.

Lois was born and raised in Perth Amboy, residing also in Sayreville, then Preferred Care in Old Bridge the past 7 years.  She graduated from NJ State Teachers College at Glassboro (now Rowan University) and spent her career teaching first grade at Perth Amboy School #8, now Rose Galvin School.

She was a devoted daughter to her parents, Lewis and Helen Johnson Ludwigsen, who predeceased her. Lois was an avid dog lover, even adopting her beloved Faith who had three legs.  She was a faithful parishioner of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy, assuming the role of providing poinsettias for the church's Christmas services after her mother's death. She also served as church organist and was a member of the St. Anne's Altar Guild.

Lois leaves to mourn her all those with whom she taught, her friends, and several cousins including Donald B. Cook of New Brunswick and Patricia Ludwigsen of Neptune.

Cremation will be private.  A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 183 Rector St, Perth Amboy, on October 19, 2018, at 12:00 PM, with interment of her ashes at the church yard following the service.
