Linda Rasmussen, 67, of Fords, passed away on November 2, 2014, at home. She was born May 20, 1947 in Staten Island, NY. Prior to moving to Fords 14 years ago, she had resided on Staten Island. Linda was a homemaker. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Fords. Prior to moving to Fords, while living in Staten Island, she attended The Faith Assembly of God Church in Tottenville. There she taught Sunday school, was a Leader of the Ladies Ministry and was a Trustee of the church. Linda was also an avid reader.

She was predeceased by her mother, Reberta Matsen; sister, Lila Montalbano; and brother, Brian Matsen.

Linda is survived by her husband, of 51 years, Edward Rasmussen of Fords; daughter, Sharon Rasmussen of Edison; two sons, Eric Rasmussen and his wife, Jeanette, of Staten Island; David Rasmussen and his wife, Sharyn of Plattsburgh, NY; two grandchildren, Chante and David Jones; two great-grandchildren, Jamere and Jayelle Jones; six sisters: Sheila Brown, Debra Picone, Cheryl Matsen-Nieves, Brenda Numis, Jill Paramithis and Colleen Matsen; three brothers: John Matsen, Robert Matsen, and Michael Matsen.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 5, 2014, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 6, 2014, at 10:00 am at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Fords. Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery in Linden.
