Linda D. Rasmussen, 78, of Fords, NJ passed away on Friday, April 10, 2026, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ.
Beloved wife of 36 years to Edwin "Eddie" A. Rasmussen, of Fords, loving sister to Cynthia "Cindy" Harmer of Spotswood, NJ, and John Harmer of Toms River, NJ. She is also survived by her daughters, Amy McGuiness ( & Tom) of Coatesville, PA and Jennifer Polidori, of CA, Stepdaughters, Karen Matthews of Clark, and Patricia Russo, of Berlin. She has 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also loved by several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Clarence "Buddy" and  Anna "Irene" Harmer of Carteret, NJ.

Linda was a graduate of Carteret High School, with the "Class of 1966". Upon graduating high school, she went to work at the Middlesex County Board of Social Services in New Brunswick, NJ for 29 years, in the Accounting Department.

Linda was a devoted member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords, where she volunteered as Treasurer and served on the Altar Guild.

She also was very fond of cats and often volunteered at "Angel Paws" in Colonia.

Linda was a gentle and kind person. She loved to travel and went on numerous trips with her husband Edwin to many foreign countries.

Friends and family may visit the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave Fords , NJ 08863, to pay respects, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm.

Funeral services will begin on Thursday morning, April 16, 2026 at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son/ Mitruska Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords, with Rev. Christopher Sadlo Officiating..

Interment will follow in the Rosedale Cemetery in Linden.
