Linda M. Stewart, 73, of Metuchen, passed away on May 25, 2026, at JFK Medical Center. She was born in Hoboken and loved to cook, bake, and needlepoint. Linda also enjoyed crossword puzzles and was a wiz at Jeopardy. She and her family resided in California for a while where she volunteered as a Teacher’s Assistant before moving back to Metuchen.

She was predeceased by her husband, Terry Stewart; a sister, Vicki McLean and a brother, Ron Gioia.

Linda is survived by two sons, Derek Stewart of Metuchen and Jesse Rubin, and his wife, Christie, of Hawaii; a daughter, Kerry Nystrem and her husband, Brandon, of California; five grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Nicole, Jennifer, and Ethan; two sisters, Carol Gioia of Metuchen and Flo Calico, and her husband, David, also of Metuchen.

She had a deep faith in God and will be missed.
