Lina Amador Giraldo, 92, of Fords entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

Lina was born in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba She resided in Perth Amboy for 40 years before moving to Fords in 2002. She graduated from San Alejandro Art School in Havana, Cuba. Lina was a communicant of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Perth Amboy, an avid gardner and reader, and a member of the Second Home Senior Day Care Center in Perth Amboy.

She was predeceased by her husband, Pedro, in 1959 and is survived by her children: Alina I. Giraldo of Mays Landing, Maria Elena Korzeb and her husband William of Fords, and Peter Giraldo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; sisters: Juana, Angela, Luisa, and brother Carmino; grand- children: Jacqueline, Joshua, Ashley, and Danielle; niece Angela Arce and her husband Lou; nephew Robert Valdes; great- nephews Jason and Lou Michael Arce; great-grandnieces and nephew: Dallas, Miranda, and Zachary Arce; and her beloved constant companion, Cora the cat.

A special thanks is extended to the staff at Confident Care Health Services and Barbara E. Cheung Hospice for their wonderful care and support during these final days.

A memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church. Visitation will be from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy.
