Lillian (Ellmer) Lucanegro, 90, of Iselin, died suddenly on September 24, 2013 at the JFK Medical Center in Edison, surrounded by her loving family.
Lillian was born on August 10, 1923 in Irvington, NJ and married Nicholas Lucanegro. They were married for 29 years before he passed in 1974.
Lillian is also predeceased by her brothers George Ellmer and Andrew Ellmer and her sisters Mary Ellmer and Dorothy Matt.
She is survived by her six children, Rosemary Cwalinski and her husband,
Saxon, Marion Byrd and her husband, Charles, Theresa Tarn, Patricia Nardone, John and his partner, Julie Basile, Nicholas, her daughter in law, Linda Kozub, Anthony Silva, Lillian's long time companion.
Lillian had four grandchildren, Christopher LaFaso and his wife, Estelle, Dawn Ross and her husband, Anthony, Vincent Stuart and his wife, Jacinta and Thomas Tarn. In addition Chrystal and Nuno Alves, Beth and Joseph Toporowski are included in our family. She also was a devoted great-grandmother to Francesca, Alanna, Nicholas, Lillian, Gregory, Matthew, Brianna, and Lyla. In addition, she is survived by her brother Joseph Ellmer and her sister, Lucille Arancio.
Lillian was a story teller and a woman who could bring a smile to your face whether you were a long time friend or someone she had just met. She made quite an impression on everyone who had the pleasure of her company.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Flynn & son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery Colonia.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
