Libero Stefano Gangemi's Obituary
Libero Stefano Gangemi, 87, of Edison entered into eternal rest, October 21, 2011, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.
He was born in Santa Christina, Italy, and has resided in Edison for the past 40 years. He is a retired carpenter with the Carpenters Local #715 in Cranford and was a communicant of St. Helena RC Church in Edison.
He is survived by Carmela Versace Gangemi, his wife of 57 years; his children: Annette Ferrer and her husband Steve of Edison; Maria Carey and her husband Daniel of Far Hills; and Steven Gangemi and his wife Denise of Woodbridge; eight grandchildren: Michelle, Steven, Michael, Danielle, Andrew, Sean, Stefano, and Gabriella; and three great-gandchildren: Logan, Aubrey, and Michael.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 24, 2011, at 11:00 am at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08840, followed by a 11:30 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Helena Church. Entombment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation is on Monday, october 24th from 9:00-11:00 am only.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to the American Heart Association.
