Obituary

Liberacion Tamondong, 67, of Fords, passed peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. Born in the Philippines, she lived in Manhattan, Rockland County, NY, and Edison before moving to Fords in 1997. A communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords, she loved to cook for her large family and many friends. She also loved tending to all her plants, especially her orchids. She will always be remembered as an extremely doting grandmother. Liberacion was a registered nurse for 40 years with the New York Eye & Ear Infirmary and Cabrini Medical Center, both of Manhattan, before retiring in 2006.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 45 years, Antonio; her beloved son, Tony of Fords; her beloved daughter, Connie Alviar and her husband, Celso, of Edison; her three dear granchildren: Christopher, Craig, and Corinne Alviar; her devoted brother, Anthony "Tony" Alconis and his wife Sally of Orangeburg, NY; and her loving niece, Mary Jane Leung of upstate NY.

Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 14, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863 followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Wednesday and Thursday, December 12 and 13, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-9:00 pm.
