Lena Lobdell, of Manchester NJ, died Thursday 1/17/2013 at Community Medical Center in Toms River, NJ. She was born, Lennie Ann Miller on February 1, 1932, the daughter of Patrick James Miller and Tennie Herald Miller in Rawl, West Virginia.
She was a loving mother who cared deeply for her family. After the death of both her parents and from the young age of 10 years old she spent the remaining years of her childhood in an orphanage in West Virginia . At the age of 18 she moved to New Jersey to work and to live with her sister Lillian and it was then that she met and married her husband Paris and started a family. She worked very hard in an out of her home for her family and was always thinking of others over herself. Her family was the center of her life and her sacrificial love will be greatly missed and affectionately remembered.
She is survived by her seven children, daughters, Patricia LeBert, Bonnie Darabos, Tena Laffey, Dorothy Coffin, LeeAnn Poko, Joyce D'Alessandro, her only son Patrick Lobdell, 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Loretta, Patsy and Beulah.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Paris Warner Lobdell

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Flynn And Son /Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave . Metuchen NJ 08840. A procession to the NJ Veterans Cemetery in Arneytown, NJ will leave from the funeral home on Wednesday at 12 noon.
