Lars Sorensen,78, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Lars was an artist who enjoyed painting and carving. He loved spending time in his long-time hometown of Metuchen, NJ, and the New Jersey Shore where he grew up. He was a retired Computer Technician with AT&T in Piscataway and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Lars was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joan, in 2001. He is survived by his son, Lars G. Sorensen of Metuchen and daughter, Kristen R. Wall of Mt. Laurel; his grandsons, Peter and Matthew; his sister, Violet Moskow of Iselin and by loving relatives, Doreen Gatti, Richard Moskow, Barbara Walton, Shirley Pornovets, Edra "Cookie" James, and John Nelson.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840.
