Lambros Andonatos, age 93, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 13, 2026, in Fords, NJ.

Born on February 22, 1933, in Kefalonia, Greece, Lambros moved to Fords in 1974 with his wife Irene. While living here, Lambros worked as a chef, opening his own restaurants in both Perth Amboy and South Amboy. He owned and operated New Deluxe Deli in South Amboy most recently before his retirement. Along with his love for food and cooking, Lambros was also an avid gardener.

Lambros is predeceased by his parents, Spiridon and Stamatina Andonatos; and many brothers and sisters.

Surviving Lambros is his beloved wife of 52 years, Irene; his three children, Spiro (Jacqueline) Andonatos, Tina Muha, and Leo (Stacy) Andonatos; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Lukas, Sophia, Dean, Alexis, Daniella, and Zoe.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 19, 2026, between the hours of 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin the next morning, Monday, at the funeral home at 9:15 AM. A procession will then follow to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Perth Amboy, for a 10:00 AM funeral liturgy. Interment will take place after in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
