Kirsten Lyn Glaser Horst
August 2,1967-February 6, 2022
Kirsten was born in Neptune, NJ, grew up in Metuchen, NJ and spent her adult life in Ulster County, NY. She is survived by her son, Roman Horst (Hudson, NY), her mother Kathryn Glaser (Metuchen, NJ), her father Charles Glaser (Albuquerque, NM), her sister Gretchen Glaser O'Kane and her daughter, Erin O'Kane (West Long Branch, NJ), and her stepsister, Karen Friedman (Flemington, NJ). She is predeceased by her longtime companion, William Martini, Jr. She will be dearly missed by many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins and all those who knew her.
She graduated from Metuchen High School in 1985. Her artistic ability carried her through many mediums from hairstyling to stone masonry. In her later years she worked in the community of Kingston, NY at the non-profit The People's Place. She found much enjoyment visiting new places. There was no locale she would not want to visit.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 pm at Flynn & Sons Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave. Metuchen, NJ 08840.
