Kevin R. Seppelt, 50, of Avenel, passed way surrounded by his family on October 10, 2018, at Haven Hospice, JFK Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Elizabeth NJ and has resided in Avenel for the last 22 years. Prior to moving to Avenel to start his family, Kevin lived in Cranford, NJ, attending Cranford High School, graduating Class of 1986. Kevin also was a brother in the fraternity Delta Psi Omega while he attended William Paterson University before finishing with his trade in Devry University. Kevin was very involved with his community. The township knows Kevin as their Santa, as he performed for the European School of Dance, The Ford business community, Highland grove preschool, and the Fire Departments of Fords and Port Reading. Aside from working as a Systems Programmer with UPS in Mahwah for 20 years. Kevin began coaching his brother In the Special Olympics basketball alongside of his father Randolph. Kevin loved coaching so much he helped coach his son in football with the Colonia Patriots, Iselin Giants, Port Reading Saints and Woodbridge Pirates wrestling team. Kevin loved photography and has made it very hard for his family to even find one picture of himself (other than his selfies). This brought him to become the official photographer of the Woodbridge Ghost Walk. Kevin also did photography and lighting for the European School of Dance recitals. Besides lighting and photography Kevin also participated in the recitals along with his two daughters, playing characters such as Elvis, and Ms. Hannagan from Annie.
He is survived by his wife, Wendy (Colton); his children, Jessica, Aimee, and Erik; his parents, Randolph M. and Arlene (Williams) of Forked River and his brother, Scott, of Forked River.
Viewing will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Monday, October 15, 2018, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, at 11 AM, followed by interment in Graceland Memorial Park, Kenilworth.
