Kenneth Davis, Sr., 86, long-time resident of Edison, NJ and Manhattan, NY, passed away on Thursday May 11, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.   Kenneth was born January 1, 1937, in Wilson, North Carolina.  He was the oldest of 12 children.

He was a retired Con Edison employee.  Kenneth served in both United States Navy and Marine Corps.  He was a former member of Edison Twp. Board of Education, alumni of St. Francis College and St. John's University, and a long-upstanding member of Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge #60 Masonic Temple in Manhattan, NY.

Kenneth was predeceased by his beloved parents, Louise Battle and Henry Davis; his sons, Quentin Davis and Kenneth Davis Jr.; his siblings: Elizabeth Evans, Marvin Evans, Alexander Evans, Mary Evans, Brenda Evans; and his wife of 37 years, Vera McDonald-Davis.

He is survived by his children: Allen Davis, Cassandra Davis, Dorothy Davis, and Veralouise Davis; his siblings: Ernest Howard Evens, Paul Evans, Evelyn Mack, Edward Evans, Linda Evans, and Franklin Evans.  Along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday May 19, 2023 and from 6-8 PM and again from 9:15 AM to 11:15 AM on Saturday, at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. A Masonic Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday morning. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
