Kenneth Thomas Martensen, 70, of Edison, passed peacefully on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge.

Born in Perth Amboy, he was a lifelong resident of Edison.

He was a math teacher and department head at John Adams Middle School in Edison for 29 years before retiring in 1998.

He was a lifelong member and served as an Elder of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords.

Predeceased by his parents; Harold (2005) and Grace (2007) Martensen. Kenneth leaves behind his beloved brother and sister; Kevin and Karen Martensen of Galloway.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, from 6-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral
Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral services will begin on Thursday August 31, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Service at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fords. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
