Kathleen Shornock (nee Burns), 65, of Perth Amboy, passed away in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center on October 14, 2014. She was born in Perth Amboy on August 22, 1949. Kathleen was a Teacher's Aide in the Perth Amboy school system. She graduated Carteret High School, Class of 1967. She was a communicant of Holy Spirit Church in Good Shepherd Parish.
Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Agnes Burns, and two infant brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Joseph Shornock, of Perth Amboy; two sons, Joe Shornock and his wife, Christy, of Alpha; Benjamin Shornock and his wife, Alison, of Perth Amboy; daughter, Shannon Rezes and her husband, John, of Milford; six grandchildren: Emily, Johnny, Amanda, Colin, Dylan, and Julian; sister, Judith Ehman and her husband, George, of Monroe; niece, Colleen Brown and her husband, Kurt; and grandnieces, Abby and Emma.
Visitation will be Friday, October 17, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin Saturday, October 18, 2014, 10 am at the funeral home, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Holy Spirit Church. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge.
