Kathleen (Kay) Jenks, 95, passed away on April 20, 2024, at The Villages, Florida.  She was born on November 9, 1928, in Ballymote (Sligo) Ireland.  Kay immigrated to the United States at the age of 16.  She married the love of her life, Patrick Jenks, on November 5, 1949.  Kay worked as a waitress on Wall Street. and spent 24 years employed at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital where she worked in the surgical unit. Her favorite pass time was the game of Bingo.

Kay is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick; three sisters and one brother, all of whom remained in Ireland.

She is survived by her two children: her daughter, Maureen Flanagan and her son, Frederick Jenks and his wife, Donna; the grandchildren she was so very proud of: Michael Jenks and wife, Tara; Jacklyn Jenks; and John (JP) Jenks and wife, Alicia; and the five great-grandchildren who put that magical smile on her face: Makenna, Kaylie, Braelynn, Declan, and Caden.

Visitation will take place on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, New Jersey.  A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen.  A funeral procession will depart following mass to St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
