Kathleen L. ''Fitzsimmons'' Margherito, 85, of Fords, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at New Jersey Veterans Memorial Home in Edison. Mrs. Margherito was born in Newark to the late Lucille Fitzsimmons Yucullo and had lived in Fords over sixty years.

She was employed as a purchasing agent with the Towne Shoppe/Penny's Park Place in Edison for twenty years before retiring in 1980. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Frank in 2011 and a son John in 2003.

She is survived by her two sons, Frank Margherito and his wife Tove of Fords, and Karl Margherito of Fords, her one daughter, Valerie Olson and her husband Jeff of Richmond, VA, a brother: Thomas Yucculo of Port Reading, three grandchildren, Jordan, Blaise and Tanameir and a great grandson, Oliver. Private services were arranged by the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis TN 38101-9908.
