Katherine Oross, 89, of Edison died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at Brighton Gardens in Edison.

Born January 28, 1922, in Jersey City, she grew up in Metuchen; graduated Metuchen High School with the Class 1940 and the Katherine Gibbs School. She lived in Edison the rest of her life. Katherine worked at Alexander's Department Store in Menlo Park Mall with the Security Department. She was a member of the Edison Seniors and a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church.

Katherine was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Steven Oross, in 2006. Surviving are her daughters: Lori Georges and husband Peter of Sayreville and Carol Deering and husband Charles of Gainesville, FL; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at 10:00 AM from Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will be in Clover Leaf Memorial Park. Visitation will be on Monday, January 30, 2012, from 2:00-4:00 PM.
