Katherine Irene Giese, 92, of Metuchen entered into eternal rest Wednesday April 6, 2011, at the Ashbrook Nursing home in Scotch Plains. Katherine was born in Hicksville, N.Y. and resided in Metuchen for the past 55 years.

She was predeceased by her husband, Henry C. Giese, in 1978. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Katherine Funk and her husband Bruce of Watchung; son Brian H. Giese and wife Kitty of Colonia; three grandchildren: Vanessa, Laura, and Brett; two great-grandchildren: Parker and May.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen with Rev. John Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday, April 8, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 pm.
