Katarina " Kathryn" Di Mauro, 89, a life-long resident of Perth Amboy, died Saturday May 21, 2011 at her home.

Kathryn was a Veteran of WW II, serving in the US Navy. Upon receiving her training at Hunter College, NY, she was stationed at the Naval Air Training base at Ottumwa, Iowa. She later was employed with Sears Roebuck & Co. in Perth Amboy for 18 years before retiring in 1977. She was a communicant initially of Most Holy Rosary Church and later of Holy Spirit Church in Perth Amboy.
Kathryn was a member of the Holy Spirit Senior Citizens Club and also enjoyed rooting for her NY Yankees, playing bingo, and always looked forward to her monthly trips to Atlantic City with the Holy Spirit Seniors.

Kathryn is predeceased by her husband, Vincent, who passed away in 1993, and her mother, father, two brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn and her husband Dr. Lee Yasgur of Cherry Hill; her son, Salvatore Di Mauro with whom she resided; and her grandson, Ryan Lee Rosen.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday May 26, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863 followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit R.C. Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Fords.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kathryn's memory to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl., Memphis, TN. 38105
