Juventino Diaz, 84 years of age, of Woodbridge, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday February 23, 2022.
He lived in Perth Amboy for 48 years, before moving to Woodbridge. He worked for the City of Perth Amboy for 40 years before his retirement. Juventino was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed traveling to Cuba and Florida. He enjoyed cooking his favorite childhood dishes and sharing them over a bottle of wine with family and friends. He often visited his favorite tobacco shop, Alvarez Cigars, where he spent hours with friends reminiscing about life in Cuba. He was a mathematician and problem solver who often took to projects at work and around the house. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Juventino is survived by his daughter, Marguerita Ghigliotty; his granddaughters, Barbara Ruiz, Marisol O'Keefe, Rachel Kolibas, and Rebecca Maioriello; his great-grandchildren, Gabriella, David, Erin, Gavin, Gwen, Rebecca, Pietro, and Pasqual; his sister, Niurka Gutierrez; along with his cousins, nieces, and nephew. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Irene Diaz; his parents, Rafael Diaz and Maria Carrozaua; and his brother, Ramon Diaz.
A visitation will be held on Monday February 28, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. A prayer service will start at 11:30 in the funeral home. Burial to follow at the Alpine Cemetery in Perth Amboy.
