Julio C. Maia, 80, of Hopelawn, passed away on January 9, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Portugal and has resided in Hopelawn since 1987.
Julio was a Facility Manager for RCHP in New Brunswick for 8 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a communicant and a member of the choir at Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima Church.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Alice (Horta); his son, Fernando and his wife Rosa of Oakhurst; his daughter, Linda Maia-Lopes and her husband Mario of Freehold Township. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Christina, Robert, Ana Maria, Michael, Kayla, Rebecca, and Joshua; his great-grandchildren, Jeremy, Matthew, Anthony, Cristiano and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:15 am on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords with a 12 noon funeral liturgy at the Blessed John Paul II Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Viewing will be Sunday 2-5 pm.
