Obituary

Julia Lominsky Yuschik, 92, of Edison, entered into eternal rest Thursday June 2, 2011, at St. Peter's Medical Center in New Brunswick.

Julia was born in Perth Amboy and has resided in Edison for the past 57 years. She was a caterer at Middlesex County College in Edison for many years before retiring in 1985. A strong-willed woman, she was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic church of the Assumption in Perth Amboy and participated in the Interfaith network of Care for Seniors in Milltown. She loved to read, tend her garden, watch game shows on television, and drink tea.

Julia was the last of 7 children of Joseph and Mary Tynik Lominsky. She was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1971. Surviving are her 2 daughters, Lonie M. Yuschik of Edison and Joyce Casale; 2 grandsons, Frank Jr. and Philip; 2 nieces, Carol York and Nancy Tran, and many loving friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2011, at 9:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Ave, Fords, followed by a 10:00 am service of Divine Liturgy at the Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is on Monday, June 6, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm. The Parastas service is Monday at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
