Julia Drwal Mezey 94 of Edison, passed away peacefully, April 28, 2017 at her home, with her loving family at her side.  She was born in Perth Amboy and was a lifelong resident of Edison.

Julia worked as a secretary in the Raritan Arsenal in Edison and J&J in New Brunswick before retiring to raise her family.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace R C Church in Fords and a member of the Edison Seniors.

Julia was predeceased by her husband John Julius Mezey in 2015 and her siblings Matthew J. Drwal, Helen Maciolek, Lillian Wantuck, Jennifer Baran, and Rose Soboleski.  She is survived by her children Thomas J. and his wife Angela of Peapack, James Joseph of Atlantic Highlands, and Carol Alexopoulos and her husband Nikolaos of Edison,  She is also survived by her grandchildren Alexandra, Veronica, Lia, Matt, Evan, Alisa, Jill, and John, and great grandchildren Annabelle, Matthew, Nora, Brayden, Kate, and Anthony.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 23 Ford Avenue, Fords followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace.  Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.  Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
