Julia A. Hasselwander Meyers, 89, of Fords, entered into eternal rest, July 9, 2017, at her home.  She was born in Newark and has resided in Fords for the past 56 years.

Julia was a Teacher's Aide at Middlesex County College for 25 years before retiring in 1993.

Julia was predeceased by her husband, Walter J. Meyers, in 2010; her son, Walter, in 2016; and her sister, Margaret Mitchell, in 2011.  She is survived by her son, Gary, of Fords; her brother, John Hasselwander, of Kearny; her brother-in-law, Thomas Mitchell, of Lake Hiawatha; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation is Thursday, July 13, 2017, from 4 to 7 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, with a service at 6:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
