Julia A. Garcia, 79 years, of Edison, passed suddenly at her home early Saturday, morning, on December 16, 2023.

She was born in Florida, Cuba, on April 16, 1944.

She was formerly of the Ironbound section of Newark, and had resided in Edison for last 4 years.

She was a retired Customer Service representative for many years with Verizon of East Orange and then later of Newark.

She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Ruben and Adelina Linares Zayas,  and her siblings, Adelina and Ruben Zayas.

She leaves behind her beloved husband of 43 years, Manuel A. Garcia, her beloved daughter Rebecca Souza and her husband Cesar of the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge Twp. and her beloved son, Mario Garcia and his wife Zahiris of Bel Air, MD, her five precious grandchildren, Adelina, Adrian, Angelica, Izael and Maziel, and her brother, Raul Zayas residing in Cuba.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 4 pm until 7 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday morning, December 20, 2023 at 10 am, from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at the Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.

Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, in Colonia.
