Julann Gubernat passed away peacefully at her home in Palm Bay, Florida, on September 21, 2022.

Born in Perth Amboy on February 28, 1948, she was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School and later earned a Bachelor's degree in education from Newark State College. After college, she went on to teach in the Perth Amboy School District for thirty years. She was a passionate cook and part-time cooking teacher. She also enjoyed camping with her family during her summers off.  She is survived by her loving family, husband John D. Gubernat, son Johnny Gubernat and wife Anna, daughter Cheryl Gubernat, and grandson Jackson.

A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday morning, October 7th, 2022, at 10:30 am at the Church of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary (Good Shepherd Parish) in Perth Amboy, NJ. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery in Fords, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Julann's memory to the American Diabetes Association ( www.diabetes.org ). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Forda, NJ 08863.
