Judith Yuhas (nee Shapiro), 72, of Edison, passed suddenly at her home on January 29, 2024.

She was born in the Maspeth section of Queens, NY and had resided in Manhattan from 1969 until 2005 when she moved with her husband Roger to Edison, NJ. The two wed in Las Vegas in 1981.

Judy had just retired in December of 2023 after working the last 18 years as a Violations Clerk with the Edison Township courts. She was looking forward to being able to spend more time spoiling her dog Toby and visiting more farmer's markets during her retirement.

Prior to that she had worked in Manhattan in the IT departments of several universities and law firms, and had been employed at various medical institutions before that.

Family was very important to Judy. She enjoyed sharing the accomplishments of her nieces and nephews and celebrating holidays with her loved ones.

She was predeceased by her parents Israel and Mildred Shapiro.

She leaves behind her beloved husband Roger Yuhas, to whom she was married for 42 years and her dear sister, Nettie Alberti and her husband Joseph of Baldwin, NY, as well as her sister-in-law Beverly Frey and husband William of Edison, brother-in-law Philip Yuhas and wife Cindy of Cranford, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is scheduled for Sunday February 18, 2024 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home,  23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863

A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 11:30 am.  We Plan to meet at the Cemetery office 11:15 at Pinelawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Farmingdale NY.
