Judith K. Kurabinski, 77, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023

Judith was born and raised in Perth Amboy; the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Lefkus.  She was a 1963 graduate of Perth Amboy High School.  After graduating from PAHS she married her love John Kurabinski, and they settled in Edison where they raised their family and lived for the last 58 years.  She then began her career as a Substitute Coordinator for the Metuchen Board of Education until her retirement 28 years later in 2022.  Judith was an active parishioner of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Edison. She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary American Legion Post 325, and past president of the Clara Barton Senior Social Club. Judith was a part time caterer who loved cooking and sending food to family and friends in need.  Above all, she cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Her family will feel her loss immensely.  She leaves behind her beloved husband of 59 years John Kurabinski; her daughters: Rhonda Ascolese, her husband Robert, and Cathy Impaglia; and her grandchildren: Charles Culver-Grossmith, his husband Brian Culver-Grossmith, Juliana Impaglia, her long-time boyfriend Alvaro Gimeno, and Samantha Impaglia, and her long-time boyfriend Danny Porth.

Friends may call at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 4:00pm – 7:00 pm.  The Clara Barton Seniors will have a brief service at 4:30pm.  Funeral Services will begin at the funeral home at 9:15am on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 followed by a 10:00am Funeral Liturgy at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Edison. Interment will take place privately.
