Jozefa Zimon, 72, of Fords, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at JFK Medical Center on March 3, 2024. She was born on March 19, 1951, in Niebocko, Poland. She immigrated to the United States in 1973. Jozefa was a retired Factory Worker from Webcraft in Meruchen. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church. Jozefa was a wonderful cook and baker, known for her delicious golabki, pierogi and babki. She will be fondly remembered as an extraordinarily kind and loving person, cherished by her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Wladyslaw and Stefania Marcinkowski, and a sister, Zofia Kopiczak.
Jozefa is survived by her husband of 54 years, Stanislaw Zimon, of Fords; two sons, Jozef Zimon, and his wife, Barbara, of Edison; Benjamin Zimon, and his wife, Sharon, of Hazlet; four grandchildren who were the light of her life: Cassandra, Karola, Oliver, and Joshua; three brothers, Tadeusz Marcinkowski; Ryszar Marcinkowski, and his wife, Halina; Henryk Marcinkowski, and his wife, Wieslawa; two sisters, Krystyna Buszka, and her husband, Stephen Jr., and Anna Blachut, and her husband Henryk; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday March 7, 2024, 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin Friday at 10 am at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.
