Obituary

Joyce Trasky, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2025.

She was born on October 6, 1938, in Long Branch, NJ to the late Joseph and Amelia Cuccinello. Joyce was raised in Perth Amboy where she attended Catholic schools. She met her late husband, Albert W. Trasky Sr, at the Fords Movie House. They married and moved to Edison where she raised her family and resided for 60 years. She moved to Monroe in 2016. Joyce worked as a factory worker manufacturing products for both Revlon and Haagen Dazs. She was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords.

Joyce loved to reminisce on her childhood. She spent her childhood summers with her grandparents in Keansburg. Known as "Jimmy the Barber's Granddaughter" and "Joe's Daughter," she had free reign of the boardwalk rides, food, and beaches. In Perth Amboy, Joyce's father owned "Joe's Lounge." She loved to share stories of him waking the family in the middle of the night after work with "a bag full of Italian hot dogs."

Joyce's interests included cooking, travelling with her family, and spending time with her granddaughters. She loved ice cream. Joyce was a kind soul to her family, friends, and strangers. Whenever there was gathering with music, Joyce was the first one up dancing and singing and inviting everyone up to join her.  Living in her retirement community in Monroe, you would find her waving down the neighbors and their dogs to say hello. She lovingly said "May God Bless You" and occasionally asked "Would you like to pray the Hail Mary with me?"

Joyce is predeceased by her husband, Albert W. Trasky Sr (2004), and her son, Albert W. Trasky Jr (2007).

Joyce is survived by her daughters, Gina Tomicki and Kim Bruno; her grandchildren, Toni Marie, Erica Lynn and her husband Gerard, Jacquilyn, Skylar Patricia, and Sumer Joy; her great-grandchildren, Angelo Albert and Brooklyn Rayne; along with many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
