Joyce M. Grant, 80, of Woodbridge Twp., passed suddenly at her home, on Saturday April 18, 2026.

She was born on September 18, 1945 in Accra, Ghana, West Africa

She immigrated to the US In and has resided in Woodbridge.

She was a graduate of Bishop Girls High School in Ghana, Africa.

She was a retired housekeeper, after many years with the Parker Meridian Hotel in New York City.

She was a founding member of the Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Flemington.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, George Grant, who died on November 5, 2014 and her parents George and and Nelly Grant.

Joyce leaves behind, her five beloved sons, Edward Grant of Murfreesboro TN, Leonard Grant, who also was her care giver, of Perth Amboy, Arnold Grant of Elkridge, MD,  Nicholas Grant with whom she resided, and Julian Grant of Florida, her  grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, her brothers, and sisters, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Friday morning, May 1, 2026, from 9 am until 11 am, with an 11 am Funeral service at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Interment will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Linden NJ.
