Josephine Dippolito Zifchak 76, of Somerset, entered into eternal rest, Thursday June 11, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, She was born in Flushing, NY, and was formerly of Edison before moving to Somerset 16 years ago.

Josephine was an Assistant Manager at the Middlesex County College Book Store for 12 years before retiring in 1998.

She was a communicant of St Matthias R C Church in Somerset and a former parishioner at The Church of the Guardian Angels in Edison.

Josephine was predeceased by her son Joseph in 1975 and her sister Martha Lutz. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Robert J. Zifchak, her children Robert J. Jr. and his wife Suzanne of Monroe, Christopher and his wife Susan of Amhurst, NH, Janet Riha and her husband William of Somerset, Lauren Gorecki and her husband Thomas of Marlton, Gerard and his wife Christina of Cumming, GA. She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren, and sisters Frances Smith of Kreskeville, PA, Annette Trizzino of Northport, NY, and Terry Rydzynski of Commack, NY.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen followed by an 11:30 am Funeral Liturgy at St. Matthias Church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday from 1-5 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to the Foundation at Middlesex County College in Josephine's name.
