Josephine C. Sauchinitz 93, of Metuchen, entered into eternal rest, September 10, 2016 at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center. She was born in Palmerton, PA and has resided in Metuchen for the past 60 years.

Josephine was a seamstress at Princeton Shirt Co. in Hopelawn for 15 years before retiring in 1983.

She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Metuchen and a member of the Metuchen Seniors.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband Peter Frank Sauchinitz in 2007. She is survived by her children Peter W. and his wife Linda of Sarasota, FL, Robert J. Sauchinitz and Cindy Greeley of North Brunswick, and Elizabeth Kelley of Metuchen. She is also survived by her grandchildren Peter Jr., Matthew, and Lindsay, great grandchildren Owen and Annie and her sister Elizabeth Perla of Longwood, FL.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 am at the Flynn and Son/ Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen. Interment will be in Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton, PA. Visitation is Thursday 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions are requested to JFK Haven Hospice 65 James Street, Edison, NJ, or the Metuchen Senior Center.
