Josephine A. Hertig (nee: Dante), 88, of Fords, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2020.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harold F. Hertig, who predeceased her in 1993.  She is survived by her two loving sons Harold A. Hertig (wife Geraldine) of Princeton, NJ and Naples, FL and Adam J. Hertig of Pennington, NJ and her cherished grandson Brian Hertig. Josephine was predeceased by her three sisters—-Rose Dante, Angie Leopaldi and Marie Pozyc.  She is survived by many nieces and a nephew as well as a grandniece and grandnephews.

Josephine was a long-time parishioner of Our Lady of Peace in Fords and a member of the Columbiettes organization at the church.  She was a homemaker for many years before returning to work as an administrator; she retired from Meeker, Sharkey and Hurley.

Josephine loved to spend time at the shore, to travel and to cook but most of all she cherished time spent with family.   Josephine was a friendly and caring person and will be missed by all that knew her.

Private services are under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
