Josephine Ann Gorman, 99, of Woodbridge, passed away on September 16, 2025, at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison. Born in Brooklyn, New York, to Rocco and Maria Arcieri, on January 15, 1926, she resided in Brooklyn until her move to Woodbridge in 1954 and had resided in Colonia since 2015.
Josephine retired in 1991 from her position as Housekeeper with the New Jersey Veteran's Home in Menlo Park after eight years of service. She was a Communicant of St. Cecelia R C Church, a member of the Rosarian Society, Heavenly Angels, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 471 Iselin.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, Edward Gorman, in 2016; her son, Kevin Gorman, also in 2016; her sister, Lucille Ricca of Boynton Beach, FL, in 2020; and her brother, Sal Arcieri in 2017.
Josephine leaves behind her sons, Brian Gorman, and his wife, Rosemary, of Princeton, Dennis Gorman and his wife, Rosanne, of Fords, and her daughter-in-law, Linda Gorman, of Newbern, NC; her cherished grandchildren: Michael Gorman, Sarah Bogdan, Robert Gorman, Edward Gorman, and Charles Gorman; and her three great-grandchildren: Kaylie Gorman, Connor Gorman, and Dalton Bogdan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the Funeral Home with a 10:00 AM mass at St. Cecelia RC Church, Iselin. Interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ, at 1:00 PM.
