Josephine H. Fackina (nee: Bielen), 94, of Woodbridge Twp. passed peacefully on Friday March 3, 2023, at the JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Josephine was born on August 4, 1928, and raised in Bayonne, NJ into the large and loving family of Thomas and Catherine Bielen, before becoming a resident of Woodbridge Twp for 12 years.
She was a long time dedicated communicant of St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church in Bayonne and later at St. James RC Church in Woodbridge.
Josephine loved to bowl and especially loved watching her grandchildren play sports. She was an avid NY Yankees fan. She treasured the city of Bayonne, where she had spent the majority of her life.
She is and will always be remembered fondly by her loving family.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Cornelius (Neal) Fackina, who died in 1994. her siblings, Stanley, John, Victor, Joe, Frank, Walter, Felicia, Anne, Betty, Helen and Dorothy.
She will be cherished and deeply mourned by her three loving sons, Corey, Donald, and James Fackina, her daughters-in-law, Carole and Lucia.
She was the beloved Babci of Cornell, Kate, Megan, Donald, Angela, and the late Michael, great grandmother of Elizabeth, and great-great-grandmother of Luka, Roman, Michael and Cole, also surviving are her devoted brother George and numerous devoted and loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Monday, March 6, 2023, from 3 pm to 7 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
Funeral services will begin on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 10 am from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.
Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in North Arlington NJ
