Josephine M. Droppa, 84, of Edison Passed away on April 19, 2014, in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center. She was a Senior Registration Clerk at Rutgers University. She was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church in Edison.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Josephine took pride in many things. Among them was her later-in-life career at the Rutgers University Registrar's Office and the compassion she showed each of the students whom she encountered. At home, she was a meticulous housekeeper who loved to cook and entertain family and friends. Her yearly Fourth of July family picnics were legendary. Most importantly, she was always lovingly available to spend time with her four grandchildren, who will miss her greatly.

Josephine was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph S. Droppa, in 2013 and her daughter, Diane Czajkowski in 2002.

She is survived by her son Thomas R. Droppa and his wife Alyssa of StatinIsland; son-in-law, Ronald Czajkowski of Sommerville; and four grandchildre;, Jon,Taylor, Sophie, and Oliiva.

Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son/ Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Services will begin Thursday at 9:00 am followed by a 9:30 am Funeral Liturgy at St Matthew's Church in Edison. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
