Josephine B. Checke, 89, of Cranbury, passed away at home on March 25, 2014.  She was born November 30, 1924, in Perth Amboy. She resided in Metuchen for over 60 years and was the Vice President for the Central Rigging and Trucking Company in Metuchen. Josephine was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School and a communicant of St. Francis Cadthedral. She enjoyed theater, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family.  She was an avid reader.

She was predeceased by her husband Harry Checke; sister, Mary Sims; and brother, Stanley Staszewski.

Josephine is survived by three daughters: Barbara Donovan and her husband Jerome of Cranbury; Dale Checke of Cranbury; Susan Udovic and her husband David of Middletown; granddaughter, Suzette Ippolito and her companion Sharon Jasneski of Pittsburg, PA.

Visitation will be Friday 7-9 pm at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Funeral services will begin Saturday at 8:30 am followed by a 9:00 am. Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
