Joseph W. Ziznewski, 74, of Metuchen, passed away at home on November 30, 2021. Born on May 8, 1947, in Perth Amboy, he resided in Metuchen for the last 38 years. Joseph was an Attorney in private practice and a Teacher in the Perth Amboy school system. He was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1963. He attended Rutgers and graduated from Wagner College.  In 1975, Joseph received his law degree from Seton Hall University.

Joseph was a communicant of Saint Francis Cathedral. He was a fan of the NY Yankees and he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren and vacationing in Ogunquit, ME.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Ziznewski, of Metuchen; four children: Emily Ziznewski; Joseph Ziznewski and his wife, Meaghan; David Ziznewski and his fiancé, Noelle; and Jennifer Eppensteiner and her husband, John, all of Metuchen; five grandchildren: Evelyn, Jack, James, Aiden, Addilyn; three brothers: Jay Ziznewski; Gary Ziznewski and his wife, Cynthia; and Curt Ziznewski; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, December 3, 2021, from 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin Saturday, December 4, at 8:15 am at the funeral home followed by a 9am Funeral Liturgy at Saint Francis Cathedral in Metuchen. Cremation will be private.
