Obituary of Joseph John Swiderski

Joseph John Swiderski, Sr., 92, of Fords, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at JFK Haven Hospice in Edison. Mr. Swiderski was born in Perth Amboy and raised by his parents Boleslaw and Waleria Swiderski along with his two sisters and younger brother.



On August 17, 1946, Joseph married his beloved, Margaret Elizabeth Foder and moved to Fords. They were blessed with three children, seven grandchildren as well as many great grandchildren.



Joseph lived a long life filled with dedication to his work. He was employed by Hurley Lumber and Amboy Terminal Company over the years, followed by working for Thermometrics Corporation in Edison until his retirement.



He was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords.



After his wife's death in February of 1997, he spent his time visiting with his family and looking after his grandchildren. Joseph was a member of the Rainbow Gun Club. He was a wonderful, friendly and kind man with a big heart who will be dearly missed.



In addition to his wife, Joseph was also predeceased by his dear son Joseph John Swiderski Jr. recently in 2017, his two sisters Violet Peleszak and Frances Gyorfy and his brother Frank Swiderski.



He leaves behind his daughters Annette Rieser and Darlene Agaccio, son-in-law Joseph Agaccio, and his daughter-in-law Marlene Swiderski. He is also survived by his grandchildren : Joseph Swiderski, John Swiderski, Nicholas Agaccio, Stacy Swiderski, Michelle Marmora, Ashley Rieser, Kassandra Rieser and their spouses and by several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held SATURDAY 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sayreville. Visitation hours will be held FRIDAY from 4 - 7 pm. Memorial donations may be made either to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 (www.stjude.org) or to the National Parkinson Foundation, 139 Broadway, Suite 1509, NY, NY 10018 (www.parkinson.org).
