Joseph Frank Stima, 73, of Edison, passed away on December 13, 2013 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He was born February 6, 1940 in Carteret. He has lived in Edison since 1966. Joe retired a Process Engineer after 30 years at Colgate Palmolive in Piscataway. During that time he became the holder of seven US patents and one international patent. He was a Veteran of the US Navy. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his family.

He is predeceased by nine siblings, John Stima; George Stima; Anne Kantor; Julia Breyer; Helen Enot; Michael Stima; Marie Musco; Elizabeth Cross; Margaret Stima.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Carolynn Stima of Edison; four daughters, Christine Stima of Edison; Karen Stima of Sunset Beach, NC; Jane Chaney and her husband Kevin of Jamesburg; Dana Rodriguez and her husband Jorge of Jackson; three grandchildren Amanda; Victoria; Alyssia; sisters, Theresa Kolodziejski; Catherine Valentine and James Stima all of Marlboro Twp.

Visitation will be Sunday 2-5 pm at the Flynn and Son\Koyen Funeral Home 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Sunday at 4:30 pm. Cremation will be private.
