Joseph Silerto, 68, of Monroe died on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010 at Hackensack Medical Center.
Born on Octobter 8, 1941 in Jersey City, he resided in Monroe for the last 5 years. Prior to his move to Monroe, he resided in Fords for 18 years. He was a Manufacturing Supervisor. Joseph was a graduate of Ferris High School in Jersey City. He was a member of H.O.G. He volunteered for many years for the American Cancer Society. He was a fan of the Mets and Cowboys. He served in the US Army.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Eileen (nee Kilroy) Silerto of Monroe; two daughters: Kim Mulligan and her husband Gerard of Readington, Toni Belloti and her husband Peter of East Brunswick; son, Joseph Silerto of North Brunswick; seven grandchildren: Joseph, Ryan, Lauren, Sarah, Amanda, Cherie, and Carly; three sisters: Frances Mecca of Moonachie, Patricia Schmidt of Moonachie, and Lucille Ross of Little Ferry; and brother, Peter Silerto of Iselin.
Funeral Services on Tuesday, August 24 at 8:30 pm from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Cremation will be private. Visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
