Obituary

Dr. Joseph Rapetti of Hattiesburg, MS, died suddenly on June 1, 2011 at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, MS.

Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, he lived in Hopelawn, NJ, before moving to Hattiesburg where he resided for the past 14 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Kathy (Baylot); three cherished children: Alex, Nicholas, and Christian; his loving parents, Anne and Mario "Lefty" Rapetti of Hopelawn; cherished brother, Frank Rapetti and his wife Sharon of Hopelawn; a Godson, Frankie; In-Laws Pauline and Charles Baylot of GA, and extended family.

Joseph was a loving and dedicated father. He was a baseball and football coach, taught CCD and was a CYO Advisor along with his wife at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Hattiesburg, MS. Joseph was a big Yankee Fan.

Besides his family, Joseph's great passion for music was legendary. Joseph could play numerous instruments and was a phenomenal keyboardist and vocalist. He played with a variety of talented musicians and various bands in the tri-state area and in many of the southern states up until the time of his passing.

Joseph was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, Class of 1978. He was a graduate of Kean College with a BA in History. He then went on to graduate from Life Chiropractic University in Marietta, GA. He also taught at Life University for 4 years achieving Assistant Professor Status. He was a member of the American Chiropractic Association, MS Chiropractor Association, Diplomat National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Authored questions for National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and was a member of the International Chiropractic Association. Joseph was currently practicing for the past 15 years at the Peavy Chiropractic Clinic in Hattiesburg.

Funeral Services will take place on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at 9:30 am from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ. Followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at Holy Spirit RC Church, Perth Amboy. Entombment will be in St. James Mausoleum, Woodbridge. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM.
