Obituary

Joseph Paul Moore, 55 years of age, of the Keasbey section of Woodbridge Twp., NJ,  passed peacefully at his home with his loved ones at his side, on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
Born in  Elizabeth, NJ, and raised in Scotch Plains. He had resided in Keasbey for the last 6 years.
He was a graduate of Scotch Plains High School in NJ, with the "Class of 1985"
He was a Roofer by trade and a member of Roofers Union Local #4
He was a talented drummer performing locally and world wide with such bands as DTA, Nemesis, Necrophile, Head Case, Symptom, Eat lead, Death Metallic & Blood Feast.
He was well traveled  and active in the Cancer Community and has helped & given hope to others through their own Cancer Journey. His Mantra was, "Never give up" & "Keep on fighting" He was a true fighter until the very end and after a little over 2.5 years had finally "won" his battle with stage 4 Lung cancer.
He had such a zest for life and a zest to live. He had so much love in his heart for others. He had a great passion for music and was a fan of the NY Giants & NY Mets. He was an animal lover, loved to travel, being outdoors, the beach and a beautiful sunrise & sunset.  He truly appreciated the little things in life.
He was pre-deceased by his beloved parents: Edward and Mary-Anne Moore & Eileen Arocha. His sister, Mariane Arocha Shows Valvida,  Brothers,  Freddy, Robert & Anthony.
He leaves behind, his beloved wife of 5 years,  Kristina Christini- Moore, his brothers; Glenn Sorbara,  Bill Moore, & Len Graff.  his sisters, Doreen Shea Bittle, June McGrath, Kathy Venditto & Lana McGee. Also surviving are his In-law's, Karen Sorbara, Kathy Moore, Jim Venditto, Stevie & Justin Starnes, Francine Sciortino-Kopas & Stefan Kopas, John Bittle, Peter Rivera & Tina Graff. Nephews, Jake & Shawn Sorbara, Jeremy Moore, Ripley London Starnes, Robby & Jason Cruz, Dusty McGrath & John Sean Bittle.  Nieces, Kaitlyn Sorbara, Tammy, Sandra & Nicole Bittle & Great-nieces Lana Jean Cruz & Delaney Bittle.  He was dearly loved by numerous friends, fans and his "Army" (Joe's Army)
Visitation will be on  Saturday, March 12, 2022,  from  1-5 pm , with a funeral service at 4:30 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ, 08863.
Cremation services will follow privately.
