Obituary

Joseph Miklos 83, of Edison died October 13, 2011, at JFK Hospital in Edison.

Born is Wilkes-Barre, PA, Joseph lived in Edison most of his life. He was a loving and devoted father and will be deeply missed. He was affectionately known as "Pocono Joe."

Joseph was a laborer for AC Delco in New Brunswick for 30 years, retiring in 1981. He loved fishing, hunting and visiting flea markets. He served in the Army-Air Corps during peacetime. Joseph was a member of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords.

He was predeceased by his wife, Theresa A. Miklos in 2009, and his late son, Richard Miklos, in 2005. He is survived by his fours sons: Joe Miklos of Edison; David Miklos and his wife Evelyn of Flanders; Christopher Miklos and his wife Gail of Jackson; and Mark Miklos and his wife Gail of East Brunswick; four grandchildren: Daniel, Kristina, Courtney, and Kelsie; and two sisters: Arlene Murphy of Edison, and Margaret Durko of Franklin Park.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
