Joseph E. Maloney, 81, of Edison, died January 22, 2012, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born October 3, 1930, in Brooklyn, NY, he has resided in New Jersey for the last 50 years. He was a bus driver for the Raritan Valley Bus Company and a member of the Clara Barton Social Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Clara Barton American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Maloney, of Edison; two sons: Kevin Maloney and his wife, Virginia, of Budd Lake and Kyle Maloney and his wife Debra of Morganville; three daughters: Laura Jones and her husband, Wayne of Monmouth Junction; Susan Winchock and her husband, Eric, of North Brunswick, and Tracey Tipaldo of Edison; 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Clara Barton American Legion.
